«We will poison vodka!» — Hunger Rebellion in Donbas Without Politics and Censorship

Vodka«We will poison vodka. We will make you fear to make a gulp of water» — this was an ultimatum, set by women residents of Chervonopartizansk to separatist militants stationed in their city. Right after that Denis Ponizovnyi, military governor of the city, announced that representatives of Sverdlovsk separatist militia refuse to obey his orders…

Both events are connected. Woman needs to take care of her children, man needs to take care of his family. But how can they do this when Russia sends trucks loaded with guns and ammunition instead of humanitarian aid to the region it occupied? Some food arrives after all, but in amounts which are gravely insufficient. For example, in Donetsk there are several reports when the amount of food rations was two, sometimes — three times less than needed. Same is true with regard to other cities of the region. People are angry and are waiting for the spark. Finally it happened…

Locals got tired of military action, artillery shootings by separatists in residential quarters and, most importantly — lack of any quality of living. Hunger deaths are becoming more frequent. According to our sources: 64 people died of hunger in Chervonopartizansk, Sverdlovsk Region. Rape of local women by separatist militants is also becoming more frequent. All this resulted into events, that happened during last week:

Chervonopartizansk — hunger rebellion. Local women gave militants one week to get food and supplies for the city.

Yenakijeve — women are raising money for food and medicines.

Makiivka — militants dispersed peaceful manifestation.

Torez — people on the streets are asking «authorities» for food (video).

At first these events seem to be sporadic. Yet we noticed certain consistency despite vast geography of the events. We discovered activists of Women Battalion of the People’s Wrath. As we understand, the brave women are driven not by politics, but by desire to stop the mayhem.

«We are sick of all abuse by DPR and LPR, — says the leader of organization. — We are trying to remind them that we are human beings whose opinion should be taken into account. Will they start shooting us? No. They are well aware that our husbands will stand for us, even those, who are fighting for them… We will continue to defend our rights.»

My source’s eyes have very hard glance. I have seen a lot, yet I feel uneasy. She is not an empty talker. So now the militants will have to take this new force into account. As the events in Slovyansk before the occupation was over demonstrate: militants are helpless against the wrath of the people…

Mind and analytics: How much Russian activity does it take before the OSCE notice?

I address my congratulations to OSCE mission observers in Ukraine for at last noticed Russian troop movement in the Donetsk area. I wonder how many Russian vehicles it took to make even the OSCE observers to notice them. Clearly it was many vehicles.

This is why after the DPR leader Zakharchenko decided to join the lie of his Kremlin chiefs it just became more senseless and stupid. By claiming that DPR provides regrouping of their troopers he put himself into a bad position. If his Kremlin bosses hide from him the real quantity of the forces they are going to transfer to the region  “trusted” to Zakharchenko? If not, let’s count everything that the cameras managed to capture.

Let us start from the 8th of November: 3 T-72B tanks with traces of the white dye on the rollers and almost erased marks H-2200, telling us that they were transported by railways of Russia, driven down Kuprina Street in Donetsk (according to You Tube video-service that I trust much more than Kremlin). Let us estimate 1200 litres of fuel, or 3 tons for all.

This very day on the approaches of Donetsk were noticed military column containing one “bagel” UAZ-452, one car on base of APC-80, 17 machines “Ural-4320” pulling 155 mm “MSTA-B” howitzers on the trailer, nine KamAZ-5350 machines (that Ukrainian army have no in service), Four “Urals” without trailers and two GAZ-66. In total we have more than 40 military vehicles. Kamaz fuel-tanks contain 410 litres of fuel. Telling other way, to feed only this part of the column 4 tons of fuel is needed. Urals will need more than 6 tons (21 vehicle 300 litres for each of them).

10 of November: One more tank column rolled through Donetsk, with 6 T72B tanks. Here we already can say about 7 tons of fuel for each, even if not to count the collector “folksvagen” of support. The next day – one more military column. It comprised 3 MV-21 on Ural-4320, 34  KamAzes 5530, 7 of them had D-30 howitzers on trailers, 2 additional Kamazs with “Uragan” shelling systems, one bus and 3 minibuses of support, one UAZ 469 and 4 full trucks (see picture).

Pic1 trucks

This seems to be about 48 of trucks in total and not less than 16 tons of fuel. Of course fuel data is just an approximate, but gives us an opportunity to see the depth of the RF military preparations in only one part of the Russian-Ukrainian front. For the last three days four videos (see pictures below) captured 9 tanks, 34  122-152 mm calibre howitzers , more than 90 military cars and 3 civil cars full of weaponry. We don’t know what was in the fourth truck, perhaps it is a “Cargo-200” transporter? Besides these, there was a column where Kamazs pulled just D-30 howitzers.

Where does the half-destroyed and not-working Donetsk and Luhansk regions found the means for a such kind of regrouping?

From where do the tanks originate that are not in service in Ukraine and having graphic marks from Russian rail services originate?

Pic2 Tanks

And what of the origins of the “Grads” dyed in the colour of sand?

Pic3 GRAD

How can there be columns of military vehicles models of Kamaz and Ural trucks that had never been in service of Ukrainian army? And where does the DPR get more than 300 tanks T64B and T72B from? I need to point that a small but economically developed country like Holland (Netherlands) in 2011 had less than 100 tanks in service.

Pic4 Column

Generally speaking, I think that anyone already got that there is no movements of separatists, just the movement of the Russian army. So the OSCE mission representatives have reasons to worry, not only about Ukraine’s sovereignty and integrity, but also about their own countries.

Terrorist War of the Russian Federation against Ukraine Summary for the 4th September 2014

040914The Luhansk Conflict Zone

The Ukrainian military forces have had to withdraw from Lutuhyne and leave the area south of Luhansk. Basically the move can be considered as the correct decospom, considering the threat that the town of Shchastya is facing currently. The same situation applies to the settlement of Pobeda located in Novoaidar district. We should remember that a withdrawal from Shchastya opens the way for Russian military forces to Starobilsk and northwards towards Kharkiv Oblast. It is possible that the Russian troops being moved towards the border, in the direction of Valuiky (in Russia), will penetrate into Ukrainian territory in the area of Kupyansk (Kharkiv Oblast). Such a course of events will allow the enemy to excuse themselves, as though military forces have come from the Luhansk area, and that this cannot therefore be considered as an open invasion from Russia. However that is no more than our guess. As for the possibility of the terrorists’ activity in the direction of Starobilsk, we warned about that earlier. Continue reading

One Reason for the Russian Humanitarian Convoy is Found

Krasnodon: At least six vehicles of the Russian humanitarian convoy were on territory of the plant «Yunost”. There were constant sounds and clattering noise of metal while the trucks were there.

During the time of the Soviet Union the factory was responsible for the production of relays and electronic chips for missiles and submarines. The Russians had previously shipped the Japanese equipment which was installed at the plant. The plant was closed for a period after the collapse of the Soviet Union, but later re-commenced production under new ownership. Continue reading

The Anti-Terrorist Operation in Ukraine: Summary for August 19, 2014

19.08

A Renewed Focus on the Luhansk Region

There is a lot of diverse information regarding Luhansk. Some rumors say that there is fighting in the central city area, while locals say that no one has seen Ukrainian forces in the city center so far. It looks like the military forces have entered the southern districts of town and try to establish themselves there. In the northbound direction the situation has not changed. Artillery duels in-between forces in Velyka and Mala Verhunka continue and the ATO forces entered but then left Luhanska village. South bound from Novosvitlivka, all the territory is controlled by the terrorists. We can also expect an attempt to unblock the M04 highway. Continue reading
